GOLF COURSE POLICIES



Tee times:

• Starting times are recommended for all play at Taconic. Tee times can be reserved by calling the proshop.
• Arrangements may be made by members, at most, seven (7) days in advance.
• Unaccompanied guests may reserve tee times, which are limited, seven (7) days in advance.
• Students may reserve tee times three (3) days in advance.
• All other tee times may be arranged seven (7) days in advance.
• Normally, play begins at 7 a.m. on the weekends and 8 a.m. on weekdays, except on Mondays when the course is closed until 11a.m.

Pro Shop - Hours of Operation:

• Weekends 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Mondays 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Tuesday–Friday 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Early spring and late fall, the golf shop will close 1 hour earlier.

Range

• See the Pro Shop for hours of operation or visit the Practice Center.
• Use established areas for iron and wood practice.
• Do not hit balls into wooded areas.
• Children under 13 years of age must be accompanied to the range by an adult, or at the discretion of the Golf Professional.

Restaurant - Hours of operation:

  • Luncheon served 7 days a week from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (menu)
  • Lounge open until half hour after dark

Parking

• All parking is in the lot adjacent to the entrance to the Taconic grounds or in the lower lot accessed through the main parking lot
• Other than interim loading and unloading for not more than five minutes, parking in any area other than general parking lots adjacent to Weston Field, is prohibited.
• There is no parking permitted in the area behind the Clubhouse or on the streets adjacent to the Club.

Dress Code - proper attire is required on the golf course at all times:

• Shirts and shoes are required at all times for the golf course and the restaurant .
• WOMEN: Inappropriate items include jeans, cut–offs, gym shorts, tennis or short shorts and any variety thereof, tee shirts, halter tops, mesh and thin strapped tank tops.
• MEN: Shirts must have collars - A traditional fold-down, a raised crew neck, or a mock turtleneck - and sleeves. Inapprpriate items include jeans, gym shorts, cut–offs, tennis shorts or excessively short shorts, muscle shirts or tee shirts.
