Golf Course Master Plan work will continue today. While the majority of the work continues on holes #18, 1, 16 & 15, some temporary conditions may be needed on holes #10 and 11 as NMP continues to move across the golf course replacing the main drainage line. Check with the pro shop for details.

AUGUST 2008 NEWS

Head Pro Rick Pohle has now posted his "August newsletter" for your review.

We have enjoyed typical summer weather and we are in the heart of our tournament season.
Kent and his crew have done a masterful job with course conditioning and (in my opinion) it's the best the course has been for some time.
There will be an abundance of play in a short period of time as we complete our 2008 tournament schedule prior to the start of the "master plan" on August 18.
The month of July we hosted the following:

July 4th Swatfest
Mixed Member Guest - July 6
Women's Member Guest - July 15
Williams Alumni Guest - July 24- 27

In August we are preparing for:

Men's Member Guest - August 1
Women's Invitational - August 4-6*
Taconic Four Ball Invitational - August 13
Membership Dinner - August 15

*Please note that the restaurant will be closed to all non participants of the Men's Invitational Taconic Four Ball Tournament.

• On Friday evening August 15 the house committee will host a membership dinner. Rick Pohle, Kent Lemme and staff members will be in attendance to answer any questions pertaining to golf operations and the scheduled course master plan construction that will begin on August 18. This will be a casual gathering that will include a buffet style dinner. Reservations can be made by replying to me Greg Canales or by signing up in the lounge. The last day to make your reservations is August 11.

Remember, the Taconic restaurant is a public facility and we also welcome lunch business from outside the membership community.

A reminder!  All restaurant sales include an eighteen percent gratuity for the wait staff. If you wish to alter this amount, cross out the printed gratuity and write the desired amount on the gratuity line. 

All members receive discounted prices from our menu.
